Hatsan Model 130S QE .30 caliber Break Barrel
The Hatsan Model 130S QE Carnivore is a .30 caliber, single-shot break barrel air rifle built as a synthetic version of the Mod 135 QE Carnivore big bore. It uses Hatsan’s Vortex gas piston for smoother cocking and shooting, with no spring torque or spring fatigue, and is designed to function in cold weather while delivering up to 600 fps and 34 FPE.
Setup favors control and flexibility. The precision rifled German steel barrel is paired with a QuietEnergy shroud and integrated sound moderator, making it approximately 50% quieter than without it. A Quattro 2-stage adjustable match trigger with metal blade lets you tune trigger-pull weight, first and second stages, and travel. The rifle uses an all-weather synthetic, ambidextrous stock with a pistol grip thumbhole, adjustable Monte Carlo comb, and checkering on the grip and forend, plus built-in sling mounts and a combination 11 mm dovetail and Weaver optics rail with metal scope stop for scope use or the included fiber optic sights.
In use, the Model 130S QE Carnivore is built to stay manageable shot after shot. The SAS shock absorber system and Trio Pad rubber butt pad with extra spacers help keep recoil from its 590 fps and 34 FPE output hardly noticeable, and the 9.4 lb gun weight adds stability. Micro adjustable green fiber optic rear sights and a fixed red fiber optic front sight give a clear sight picture, while the manual safety, automatic cocking safety, and anti-bear trap mechanism support consistent operation over extended sessions.
