Description
SIG Sauer MCX Pellet Rifle Gen 2, Black
The SIG Sauer MCX Pellet Rifle Gen 2 is an airgun version of the MCX family, built to mirror the updated look and feel of the real steel rifle. It reaches velocities up to 545 FPS and is intended for training with the firearm version, plinking, and light pest control. It feels like a SIG because it is made by SIG in their own factory.
Setup favors control and flexibility. The MCX Gen 2 uses .177 caliber pellets, a semi-automatic action, and a 30-round Roto Belt magazine for fast strings of shots. An adjustable flip-up front and rear sight sit on a long Picatinny optics rail that can also take a scope or other optic, and the M-LOK handguard accepts accessories such as dot sights, lasers, and lights. It runs on both PCP and CO2, with the PCP model including an Air Venturi air tank, tank adapter, and buttstock, and the CO2 model using one 88- or 90-gram CO2 cylinder.
In use, the rifled steel barrel and shroud support accuracy while mimicking the look of a rifle with a long suppressor. The upgraded flat blade trigger gives operation similar to the original firearm, and the improved textured pistol grip with a reduced angle, along with the improved ergonomic buttstock, is aimed at comfort and control. With up to 200 shots per fill and a manual safety, it is set up for extended training and practice sessions.
